Hey all,
I have a diagonal wall and a family of countertop that follows it.
It creates a big problem with my elevations because it shows the entire family and doesn’t cut it on the place where my elevation and the counter top meet...
this is not right... it looks like a big awful misleading mistake on my behalf...
any tips/tricks on how to solve this?
it’s annoying.
thank you in advance

You should create a new face-based family instead of wall based. Doing this, the family will follow the wall instead being vertical.
Thank you for your reply.
But That’s not my problem.. the family is placed correctly. The problem is that in an elevation view it looks like if my elevation doesn’t cut the family...
I’m attaching an image for a better visual of my problem
the first one is plan view
the second one is the elevation of t01-4
Got it!
Some kind of families doesn´t cut on sections... You could try to edit your family and change the family type to a cuttable one ( use Casework family type for testing purposes). You can find the button to change it on the upper left icon with a yellow folder icon...
I know, that´s not the best scenario, but give it a try!
These families are non-cuttable and are always shown in projection in views.

Ok thank you!!
didn’t know that you can’t cut some families.. good to know (:
I ended up deleting the family in my elevations and drew the counter top by sketch.
sometimes you can’t replace the good old fashioned way.
