Families: How to make nested detail component not show up in parallel views

This is driving me crazy, and I hope there is a way to do this >.<

I have a family which needs a nested detail component on the left and a different nested detail component on the right view... However, detail components show up on parallel views... Is there a way to make that happen?

Place the Detail Linework on a Work Plane, that is in front of a Masking Region, by unchecking Draw in Foreground.

More about the method here:

So it seems I did that, but it still shows on both...

I attached the family. Sorry bit sloppy work in progress just on a time crunch...

I put the wipe out on the middle reference plane, and I put the detail component on the front... played around with checking & unchecking the 'put in the foreground'  and it still shows up in the left and right view, but I need it just in the right view...

With a little clean-up in the Family, the method works like a charm.

Or is this not what you are after?

This is what I am after :verwirrtes_Gesicht:

What did you clean up? (excluding deletion of imported 3D dwg)

I had the detail component on the front reference plane and the wipeout on middle...

I didn't delete anything. I merely changed Visibility Settings of elements that didn't belong in the View.  Based on your reaction, it seems I've successfully hidden the elements you don't want to see in the View.

Sorry, that's what I assumed you did. I did not have an issue of changing the visibility of 3D objects here...

I made 3D geometry invisible in all views, and that works great...

I cleaned up names to be more clear about issue I have.

I have 3 detail components: front, masking region, and back

I have 3 reference planes: front reference plane hosting front detail component, middle reference plane hosting masking region detail component, and back reference plane hosting back detail component.

I unchecked all "Draw in foreground".

Here is how front detail component looks like

this is how back detail component looks like

And here is how the front and back views look of my family:

It seems that the unwanted display component is displayed with lighter lineweight instead of being hidden with a masking region.

I attached the cleaned up family.

I don't see a Masking Region. There should be a Masking Region drawn on the MIDDLE Ref. Plane with Draw in Foreground unchecked in its Properties.

Shouldn't all this red linework should be invisible?

thank you @barthbradley you are the best! I thought I was going crazy. Some shrapnel for experimenting with different things...

PS: There is a masking region on the middle reference plane just have to tab-select it from the elevation view.
