Hi! I have a project I am working on and need my families to auto-populate in the schedule.
I have tried editing the family and its parameters so that it updates every other instance of the same family in the project but to no avail. It only fills the one equipment with the info rather than every one of the same equipment with the same information. Alongside that I need the equipment that is filled out to auto-populate into the schedule and have all the columns filled. I'm pretty new to families and scheduling so any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!!

It seems as if you are using instance parameters in your family, which will only affect one. Change it to a type parameter for the changes to reflect in all the instances. For it to auto populate, note which parameter you have used and make sure to include that parameter in the schedule.
We could help more if you are more specific. What kind of families are you referring to, and what are the parameters that you are trying to include?
if you want the parameter to effect multiple instances, like @Anonymous said, they need to be type parameters. you would then need to make Families Types in the parent family, one for each unique condition.
are you creating custom parameters in your families? for them to show in the schedule they need to be Shared Parameters. Shared/Project are a whole other can or worms if you are new to families. they need to be well managed.

That's the thing though, whatever equipment that I have when I go to edit the family it is on Type parameter rather than instances. If you see attached I am showing one of my equipment models the towel dispenser has the same information.
By parent family you mean open the original family file and change the information to update on the schedule?

That.
I have a folder of all the parameters I have shared and have used it for all my equipment.
Well, I don't see why it wouldn't at the moment tbh. Perhaps someone else does, otherwise zip and share the file to have a look.
sorry, got distracted by work.... LOL...
By parent family, you have a family called Soap Dispenser, in that family you need to have one that is 4"x6" and another that needs to be 9"x4". those would be 2 Types in the Soap Dispenser family. in the type properties, select New type, change the dimensions and pick New type again and change dimensions, rinse and repeat as many times as needed.
if your using shared parameters, in order to do anything with them you also need to make a project parameter in the model with the same name.
