Fail to open Revit gbxml format in IES VE 2014

I'm using Revit Architecture 2016 in modelling the 3d. I have downloaded Revit plug-in for IES VE 2014. Unfortunately plug-in IES VE 2014 didn't compatible with Revit 2016. So, i installed Revit 2013 (stated that this verson is compatible with the plug-in). The questions are:

1)Do i have to save as the file in Revit 2013. However, the 2016 version can't be opened in 2013. What can be done?

2)How do we know either the Revit plug-in sucessfully installed in IES VE? There will be a button about the plug-in, right? Mine, don't have. Is it mean i fail to install it although has install Revit 2013 ?

3) What should i do to successfully exported and open it in IES VE?

Answer some simple questions below.

Why are you not trying to export gbxml from Revit 2016 & then import this in enery-analysis software?

You can also use green building studio directly from Revit 2016 for analsysis.You do get some credits to use as a normal user.

In Revit 2013 there is Addin tabs kindly check your installation there.

- as i mentioned in my post, Revit 2016 is not compatible with Revit plug- in IES VE 2014. The plug-in is only compatible with Revit 2013 and earlier version.

You can also use green building studio directly from Revit 2016 for analsysis.You do get some credits to use as a normal user.

 - I can't use analysis the building because mine is student version and it has no maintenance or desktop subcription. Last time i try to analyze,i got a warning saying' You do not currently has access to this service'. I'm a student and don't have enough budget to subscribe it. I'm lucky enough to have IES VE because my university bought the license for us. As for now, IES VE is the only energy analysis software that i'm familiar with.

- i didn't see any Add-in tab (as attachment) or maybe i can't find it. In Revit 2016, it is next to Manage tab . Maybe someone can tell me where is the Add-in tab in 2013

As a student you will still have access to GBS.
The warning message you received has nothing to do with having an academic license. It will often appear when there is a problem with the GBS service or there is a problem with recognising your license. A quick google should give a solution
