Hi all,
This question must have been asked for 1000 times so forgive me for being the 1001th.
I want to extract parts of a view to an external image. In Revit you can use the Export\Images and animation\Images tool, fine. But I want to choose exactly the range of impression and be able to rotate it. I don't want to print what appears on my screen.
Is that possible?
I guess there must be a workaround...
Thanks
Benoit

For example I want this. I don't want to have to resize the image elsewhere. Just this.
Ah ah ah ![]()
Thing is : the idea is to code it using the API so I can automatically extract a view of every door in a project. So it would be much easier for me not to use a soft external to Revit.
Still, this is easy in AutoCad so I don't see the point of not reproducing the functionality in Revit...

The two programs are entirely different under the hood. What is "easy" in one may not even be possible in the other.
Hi all,
We decided to create a view and define the crop region. Then export. And do it on every door.
In Autocad you can print a range defined by user using the command Print\Window and define your window.
Thanks anyway.
Benoit
