I'm really having an issue and I've searched the forums for a solution but not a fix. Here is my problem, when drawing an Exterior wall to a specified size/dimension and I want to place a foundation wall beneath the exterior wall. After setting my elevation levels to specified heights. when I switch to Foundation View and begin to draw my foundation wall I get a ERROR not visible in view. BUT I can't click on the walls either, they are grayed out. But I can switch to T.O. Footing and the foundation wall appears BUT the dimensions are of to my Exterior walls. How can I draw my foundation wall on the Foundation plan and make sure its the correct size/dimension to match my Exterior walls above.
I have attached my project I'm testing.
Thanks

Sounds like the Walls are being placed below and not within the View Range. Are you placing Structural Walls? Likely they are being placed deep, not high. Look on the Options Bar and change "Depth" to "Height".
...or change your View Range settings. Maybe "Unlimited".
Change your View Discipline.
...or change the Wall Properties to Structural.
"Foundation" walls are typically defaulted to Depth vs Height. this means they draw Down by default instead of Up for a normal architectural wall.

Thanks barthbradly, when I switched to Structural walls, using 8" Masonry and made sure I was using Height not Depth in the options bar, I could see what I was tracing. I was using 8" Masonry from Architectural Walls and wasn't able to see anything.
I appreciate the correction to make it easier.
Thanks again
