Exterior Clerestory Wall @ Cathedral Ceiling

My floor plan has a bump out on side of the building; consequently, I have a clerestory gable on my roof.  From the exterior, it was simple enough to make the base of my wall at the roof.  On the inside, though, how do I get my angled ceiling to operate as the wall base for this clerestory wall?

Attach to Base.

...NOTE: you can Attach Wall Top/Base to Ref. Planes as well.

You can attach a wall to more than one elements so in this case you can attach the outside layers of the wall to the roof and the inside layers to the ceiling.

The ceiling boundary should match (or over, if you want a ledge) the interior face of the wall. Select the wall and Attach Top/Base, choose Base, and select the Ceiling.

I've tried attaching the bass to the ceiling 6000 times, and each time I get an error.   I've tried deleting the wall, and starting over.  Still to no avail.  See attached.

You have to select "Base" when you start the Attach Top/base.  Look at the Option bar, it is default to "Top".

Nevermind.  I fixed it.  I had to extend the ceiling out beyond the face of the wall and then trim.

Looks to me like Revit can't because of Wall Top/Bottom constraints. Try putting the Wall on a lower level and leave the top unconnected (not constrained to any level).  Then retry Attach Top and Base again.

You can also Attach Top/Base to Ref. Plane.

Yes, we  did, right there in the second post.  The ceiling boundary was aligned with my framing, not with my finish face of wall.  Once I corrected that, it cleaned up.  Thanks for your patience, and walking me through it...

Oops, doesn't mean anything.  And, perhaps, but it was the ceiling issue specifically that held me up.
