Exporting Wall Layers Issues

I'm creating a custom DWG Export Setup for the 1st time and I'm having a few issues:

  • Is there a way to export the different wall layers in a wall assembly (Structure [1], Substrate [2], Thermal/Air Layer [3], etc.) to their own layer? I'd like to have a way to separate the Structure [1] layer in my wall assemblies from the rest of the wall layers so that I can isolate the stud framing in a CAD file. I thought I found this setting in the DWG/DXF Export Setup but it is not working how I expected.
  • Is there a way to exclude the wall surface and cut patterns from the export? I found these in the DWG/DXF Export Setup settings, but again I cannot figure out how to exclude these categories from the export.

Have you tried this?

If you don't want to export wall cut patterns, create a view template than turn those off and assign them to views when you export.

Yes I've been trying different things with those settings but I can't get the layers to separate. I just tried it with exactly those settings and it only exported the A-WALL, A-WALL-PATT, and I-WALL Layers. I've attached my Revit file and CAD export.

See revised Revit file and exported CAD file from it.

Thanks @ToanDN
I'm not sure what you did to get the red line style, but it isn't applied to all the lines in the Structure [1] layer. The 2 inside lines should also be included in the Structure [1] layer, otherwise with the A-WALL-STRU layer isolated it looks like a single 10" stud instead of (1) 5.5" stud + 1" air gap + 3.5" stud.

This is as far as I can get at the moment.

Thanks again @ToanDN I think this will work for what I'm trying to do.
