Exporting to DWG Where does the layer info come from in the families?

Hi all, Does anyone know where REVIT pulls the layer naming from in the export tab. I have an image I a sharing. I want to control the names before they get to export.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Is there a place in the model that I can control it?

The export settings is where you control them. Not really sure what you are asking.

I think I am explaining this wrong.

When I build a family I can create subcategories. By default Hidden Lines in already in the subcategory creation pop up window. Hidden Lines in the layer column has a unique name separating it from the other assets in the same category.

When you run the export and click to activate the (Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup) you can see all assets in the model and see the data that REVIT pulls.

If I expand Electrical Equipment it will show me all the families and Subcategories I created in the families.

Next, to that is the layers field I want to know how to control the naming convention before it ever gets to export so that I do not have to do it at export.

This has to be controlled from inside the family it's self, parameter, or some master set I just need to know where this information is stored.

REVIT DEV team feel free to jump in on this one.
