Exporting Revit to CAD layer modifiers phase stat for Demo, New, Existing layers

Are there any tutorials that explain how to export Revit files to CAD using modifiers 'phase status' so that demolished doors and walls show up as a demo layer?

That's how I set it up but it is still not dividing the wall/door layers up into demo and new.

Does it matter what view I am in?

How should the phase and phasing filter in the view properties be set?

You screenshot looks wrong for am Existing view.

Existing views:
- Phase = Existing
- Phase Filter = Show All

or

- Phase - New Construction

- Phase Filter = Show previous

Demolition views:
- Phase = New Construction
- Phase Filter = Show previous + Demo

New Construction views
- Phase = New Construction
- Phase Filter = Show previous + New

Most importantly, your objects must be assigned with correct Phase Created and Phase Demolished values.

The way I have it set up is the only way I can see both the demo and new in the same view... maybe the drawing is made incorrectly.  It's from another company.

If you want the CAD Layers say demo then you need to spell it out. Normally D is enough.

No. You can open any view and export multiple views at one scoop.

I exported you A1-00 sheet to DWg just fine.  That is the plan showing the existing and demolition stuff.  The one you show is the New Construction plan (even it was labeled as Existing), thus demolition elements do not show.

Because the Phasing configuration of your project is fundamentally wrong.  There is no Demo phase in Revit.  Demolition is an action happen in New Construction phase.

The way your project is setup, you need to show all 3 phases in a single drawing and Revit cannot do that.  You can either fix the Phase setting to only have 2 phases: Existing and Demolition, and change all the demolished elements to be created under Existing Phase and to be demolished under New Construction phase.  Or, you would have to export at least two CAD files and combine them in AutoCAD.
