Exporting FBX

Hello!

I'm trying to export a project as a .fbx file for 3D viewing, however, when I do this the result is a model with glitchy' surface textures. I did a little bit of reading and it seems when exporting a 3D model this way the textures are not actually linked to the export and therefore leaves the textured area with the aforementioned glitchy' surface pattern

Is there a way to temporally remove/turn-off the textures from the Revit model so I am able to avoid this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Jack

Before export, just select all objects and assign them "Default" material.

Hi,

Thanks for your response!

When you say "select all objects and assign them "Default" material" is there an easy way to do this?

I tried this as a solution before, however, most if not all textures are tied up in wall, floor, window... ect components. setting them to default would require me going into each component and detaching the material from the layer, simply highlighting and changing the material would not work for my situation.

Thanks

In my practice, I change to "Generic" walls types , floors types and roofs types . I select everything and use filter to change.

Its understandable that this may be to much work for you, but what you need to do is to make appropriate imports. Define what kind of information you will import from the FBX file. It does not have to include materials. Whatever software you are using, it should be able to do this.
