Good afternoon. Is it possible to export from Revit with a transparent background? The solution with printing to PDF in curves is not suitable, since the image has transparency and shadows; printing or export is only possible in a raster.
There is an example in the attached file. We need to get the same picture, only with a transparent background. It is possible to save it in PNG and JPG format and remove background in Photoshop, but in many cases there are many problems and artifacts.
Go to the View tab > Presentation panel > click Render.
Under Background, set the Style to Transparent.
Click Render.
In the Rendering window, click “Export…”.
Select a destination for the transparent PNG > click Save.
Kind of a work around what you ask for
Accept my answer if it helps you
- Duplicate your 3D view
- Render and save it to a PNG with a transparent background as suggested
- Open the PNG in photoshop and create an alpha channel based on the transparency
- Open your shaded image in photoshop and copy the alpha channel to it and use it to eliminate the background
Thank you very much for the solution, but what about drawings on a plan or section where the rendering does not work?
Create 3d view and right click the view cube to choose a plan or section view to align to, then render it.
