Export sheet to cad with proyect north on layout and true north on model

Hello!

Does anybody know how to show a CAD exported sheet with the proyect north on autocad "layout" but true north on autocad "model"?

I know the plan is to not use autocad in the future, but it's the clients needs.

I don't understand. Almost sounds like the solution is a simple as placing a compass on the Sheet.

From my experience, when exporting sheets from Revit to AutoCAD the items in Model Space have no relationship to their positions in Revit.  The views are simply clipped and exported in the orientation that they are shown on the sheet.  If you have multiple views on a sheet, the resulting exported views are just arbitrarily sitting in Model Space in the export and each related Paper Space viewport shows linework for that specific view.

@ravilaro: are you exporting Sheet Plan Views or Sheet Model Views (which is odd)?  It sounded to me like you are Exporting Sheet Plans Views, which would naturally place a Plan View in AutoCAD Model Space as well as Paper/Layout Space.  

Like I said: sounds like a compass in the Plan View would solve.

If the true north is the same for every sheet then you can just add it in the titleblock family with a Y/N parameter to turn it on/off at will.

Otherwise:

- go to a true north view and place a compass generic annotation symbol north up, copy clip the symbol

- go to the sheet view and paste align the symbol, it shows true north; drop in another symbol for project/plan north

- export to DWG

- open it in AutoCAD, go in the viewport, select the true north symbol and type CHSPACE and follow the steps to bring it from model to paperspace
