export multiple 10 m^3 cubes to sat - repeat

Hello

What I would like is to chop a building into 10 meter cubes & then export each cube as a sat file.

The building model is updated so the process will be repeated when the model is modified (monthly).

Each cube can then be imported into Inventor as a reference but with a fraction of the file size of the whole building.

I'm thinking create a template which includes scope boxes 10x10x5= 500 then import the building as a sat file.

Next , crop & export each scope box.

Any alternative ways to do this automatically?

Regards

Andrew

I think you can use Dynamo for this. Script Dynamo to create multiple 3D Views. Let Dynamo create for each 3d view a section box with fixed position and size. When all views have been created you can use the export to SAT in the Revit interface and export all created views.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
