Export CAD layer doesn't work?

Hello,

I am attempting to export a CAD file from Revit that includes distinct layers. However, I've noticed that the 'Glass' layer isn't being exported separately from the 'Window' category. Can anyone clarify what might be going wrong?

For context, the window family contains nested families, one of which is the glass family with the subcategory Glass.

"nested families" is where we find the same issue occurring too. Curious if there is a simpler fix than "unnesting".

Because a surface pattern can only be assigned to the main category (Windows), and not a subcategory (such as Glass).  If you add lines in Glass subcategory instead of using a surface pattern then the lines will be exported to the correct layer.
