Explode Import Cad files does not come with proper layer and line weight

HI ,

I have import a cad file and when I tried to explode cad file I was assuming it will come with same layers and same line weight of import cad.But it didn't come in same layer nor it came with same line weight.

Can you help with the solutions for this as I have lots cad files to import and explode with same layer and same line weight.

Hi, Check with this you need to select preserve its coming with same line weight and colors etc.

Is this happening, open a new project and import cad file, explode and copy paste it to the required project.
You need to keep open the Revit file in same session.

Importing and exploding lots of CAD files is not a recommended workflow. You might want to rethink that. Been there done that, didn't like it. There are better, smarter ways.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
