Everything displays crooked as in 3D but I am in 2D

Whatever is drawn becomes crookd or displays as in 3D when in plan view, also, the stand alone wall at the right of the picture has a warning that is overlping another wall when apparently is not. Please help!!!

Do you have any linked or imported DWG that extends too far from the model?

That looked like a classic "long way from origin" issue. If not too far a long i might try re-creating in a new file, or attempt to find the internal origin and make sure your are modeling close (within 10 miles) of that.

If all imported DWG elements are eliminated then that's my bet too Jeff.

Check to make sure your model is created near Revit internal origin. If not you'll have to move it all closer to eliminate the graphics issue.

Create a new 3d view, turn on Site > Internal Origin, zoom extent and tell us what you see.

Is this distance > 10 miles (16 km)?  I bet it is.

There you are.  How far along is your model (documentation wise: views, sheets, annotations, etc...) and does it have phasing?

not too advanced, there is no phasing

We will do that, how do we avoid this issue from happening again?

Link this model in a brand new Revit model (auto center to center), move the link approximately to the Internal Origin if needed, and bind / ungroup.  This would be your working model for this project.

You'll have to move it all closer to eliminate the problem...

somebody else started this project some while ago, so, my question is, basically they modeled the project following the cad link from civil and that caused this issue?

That's a pretty common reason. They linked CAD, don't realize it is way off in the distance from origin. Zoom all, start drawing... Important to spread the message that CAD can be BAD :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:  Well, it is important to take a good look at each DWG file you're going to use in Revit to make sure it isn't going to cause trouble.

Thank you so much Toan, Jeff and Steve for the explanation to the cause of this issue.
