Hello everyone,
i am trying here to model a cushion roof like this one:
so i went on testing and was a bit close to what i need,
1: i drew a curved mass
2: V grid applied
3: U grid applied
4: U&V grid applied
I then created a (general model based on grid- Fassadelement) and load it into the model.
as you can see when i placed the family in the grid, the roof behaved differently, as in V grid roof, it acted the right way, but not the as same as in U grid roof, the roof went back to its normal shape and that is not not what i need,
i googled the problem, but couldn't figure out the problem, can someone help me, please?
thank you
Use an Adaptive Algemeinesmodel + Divided suface >>> Show nodes and use repeaters
Works better for fluid shaped structures

You need 6 points or more adaptive points to create the bow in the long direction.
Hi, sorry to bump up a 1year+ old topic, I am trying to model the same ETFE panel and I need a rectangular frame but I can't understand how to create it in the pattern based family since I don't have any modelling tool to use.
Thanks for any help
