1. We have created two totally different models, each non complex, so limited to about 100 vertices.
2. We're using two different computers, a powerful workstation and a mid range laptop.
3. If we render a walkthrough at fairly low resolution, such as approx 560p, no issues.
4. If we render at 1440p or so or higher, we get various errors mid render, such as 'Creation of stream output failed', or out of RAM etc. Being out PCs have 32GB and 16 GB each, RAM cannot be the issue.
5. We have re installed Revit and plenty of hard drive space, GPU power and so on.
Help!
We do not use the walkthrough tool anymore. There is better and easier software to create walkthroughs (e.g. Enscape, 3DS max, Unity, UE4).
However what I did when creating walkthroughs in Revit was output to images. Then use (open source) software to create a movie from those images (e.g ffmpeg).
Advantage is that if Revit crashes during the process all the images you already rendered are on you computer and you only have to continue from where the crash happened. Further you can check each image. if one of the image has an issue you can leave it out of the video

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
you render out images from revit then compile then in another software
you don't bring in the revit model
