Hi,
I am having a problem with the shaft tool. I have read the other threads here on the same issue, but they offer no working solution. In one of my files when I go to create a shaft I receive an automatic error message because the shaft top constraint is below the base constraint. It doesn't matter which level I am on. I have tried setting the work plane and I have also created shafts in a separate file and copy/ pasted them in and tried create similar. Nothing works.
Any other suggestions?
Most likely, what the error message says, it's true. Go to a 3d view, select the shaft, and stretch its volume to the correct base and top elevation, using the blue handles. That should fix it.
Hi,
I cannot even place the shaft. The error appears immediately when I click on the shaft tool to create a new one.
Create a new Level below the lowest one. Create a Floor plan of said Level. Go to the Floor plan and create a Shaft.

Then, check the settings of the shaft before placing it. Revit is telling you that the settings are wrong. Can you put a screen capture of the settings that you see before putting the shaft in the view.
