Error occurred in Window family, delete splitting element

I'm getting this error message every time I try to modify the window family (locking elements to references for the width parameter, for example). This is in a local file of a central model, and the original window family was not authored by me. This happens every time, and I don't understand what the splitting element is, or what to correct for this to stop coming up since to my understanding, the more errors occur or remain in a shared Revit file, the slower the file as time goes on. Warning 2 in the image attached is also just a Delete-Checked for the same window type occurring in a difference location.

What is this and what do I do?

Post the file so we do not have to guess.

It's quite a messy file, I know

The glass extrusions aren't constrained properly.  Delete all but one extrusion (blue one in Screenshot), and then flex the Family (by changing Width and Height values) to see where the extrusion "breaks" and needs to be constrained. Align and Lock those edges. Flex again using different Widths and Heights.  If it doesn't break, then move onto modeling the next extrusion representing a glass lite. When done, flex again using different Widths and Heights to see if it breaks.  If it doesn't, rinse and repeat for the remaining two lites.

Modeling Tip of the Day: Test the Family you are building by "flexing" the Family periodically.
