I am receiving the following very annoying message when creating an edit in place void which cuts a system wall.
Firstly I create a wall and I then assign a global Revit parameter to the Top Offset.
Secondly, I create a edit in place Void geometry which cuts the wall element.
When I finish editing the edit in place element, I receive the message below.
Weirdly, when I assign the parameter after creating the void I do not get any error message.
I trust, this is a Revit bug.
Would it be possible to share any ideas why what is causing this?
Many thanks in advance.
Alexandros
I am getting the same issue if you use in-place family.
However if I use wall opening, it works.
Did someone mention "BUG"? I love finding BUGS! Bummer is, I seldom do -- including this time. I can't seem to replicate what you two have discovered. Maybe my workflow is flawed. Can one of you lead me through the steps to replicate the "BUG"? Thanks in advance.
I faced this problem before with Structure wall also
I could replicate it but it seems to be an issue in Revit 2020, works with Revit 2021 though...

I don't trust any claims of bugs. They need to be proven. You might have one here but I still don't trust them.
