I have created a simple energy model using 2 separate Zone Equipments (both are set to "Group Spaces on Equipment"). In the image below, you can see there are analytical spaces on the middle level grouped onto what I have named "New Zone Equipment", and the rest of the spaces are on "Existing Zone Equipment".
My question is, why does the Analysis Report indicate heat transfer happens at the ceiling and floor for the spaces on "New Zone Equipment"? How could there be heat transfer occurring if the spaces above and below the ceiling and floor have the same values set for heating and cooling set points? I'm thinking maybe because Revit allows the space temperatures to deviate from the set point in the simulation, but I don't know for sure.
