Energy Analysis - Analytical spaces not enclosed

Hello.

I'm currently working with Revit with the intent of using the model for 2 things: energy analysis and management.

One problem I encountered is:

When creating the energy model, it creates most of the spaces on the first floor, properly enclosed, but in the second one, the appear with huge gaps in the ceiling and are not included in the analytical spaces schedule, although the plenums directly above each of those 2nd floor spaces, appear to be recognized properly.

What am I doing wrong? Any Ideas

Thanks in advance!

P.S.: It has been a trial and error process for me, as I've never worked with BIM or energy analysis. I'm sorry if there are some naive mistakes.

Looks correct to me. Go to Section View and reduce your Far Clip Range to 1/8".  This way you can see more easily how the Spaces are bounded.

My problem is that, when analyzing the created analytical spaces, only the ground floor ones and the plenums above the first floor rooms have room names associated to them. The first floor has those spaces, with relatively similar volumes when compared to the correspondent rooms, but have no name tag associated. Is this a problem?

Had forgotten about this post, but as I received a "like", decided to add something...

For me... The problem resided essentially in the analytical space resolution and analytical surface resolution. Had to play around with the proportion between these two, until it finally worked :). Hope this helps anyone that has the same problem, or at least puts you in the right track for solving it.

Best regards. Good luck!
