Hello Everyone,
Recently we came around an issue regarding the elevations of our wall devices. We are using specialty equioment families that are face based and we are adding a 3D text in order to see this text in elevation views for coordinating with the electrical and mechanical consutants.
This 3D texts are causing 2 issues: 1st they are heavy to visualize in our elevations as we are placing around 10 of this famiies in each elevation view and at the same time we have minimum 40 elevation per sheet.
and seconf issues is that when we print the 3D text in the elevation we cannot control the thickness of the print or the font is not the same as our standards.
Tagging this elements was not accepted as a solution because it will supposed retagging 10000 of devices.
Any idea or recommendations. i am attaching an image for your reference.
Thank you very much

We are using a 3D Text inside the families. that are acting as a Fake tag as you can see with the abbreviation of the electrical device
There is no way around it except tagging the elements. It is not that bad s you imagine. You can isolate the elements in view and tag all not tagged.
I find it unbelievable that you have 10,000 (maybe I'm misunderstanding you), but as an alternative a bunch of tags, what out a Legend instead.
