Elevation Tag Family - Not Displayed Properly When Oriented to Non - Orthogonal Walls

Elevation tag family is displayed funky when oriented to non-orthogonal walls (Circled in RED), Is there a way to have only the arrow rotate and not the "key circle" (See example circled in BLUE)

Thanks!

Did you replace the line in the Family?  When you select the line, do you see "Rotate with Text" in its Properties?

...if you did, Clipboard Copy/Paste one from a new Family Template.

...this is what you are after; right?

Delete the line in the family and use underscore text characters _______ to create the line.

@barthbradley

This is a custom family I modified. I attached the family to this post if you guys have time to dilly dally.

Anyway, by default, my Elevation Mark Lines do not have the Rotate With Text property. [SEE IMAGE 1] However, I decided to get creative and copied that line from Revit's default Section Family, and inside my Elevation Family (Revits Default Elevation Family does not include this line with Rotate With Text property) this pasted line magically converted to an Elevation Mark Line with a Rotate With Text property, and this property is a checkbox that is checked and greyed out... [SEE IMAGE 2] However when loaded into my project it is invisible... [SEE IMAGE 3]

@ToanDN This is a creative solution, just a bit ghetto for me to be honest, that said I am willing to go with it 😄 Unfortunately, it does not display properly, the underscored line comes out of the family... It does display correctly on orthagonal walls. [SEE IMAGES 4 AND 5]

@EATREVITPOOPCAD

Did you add the underscores as a suffix or prefix to either of the labels?

Alternatively, use a section and kill the line

@RDAOU PreFix or Suffix doesn't give the desired look as it creates the underscore after a new line, creating awkward spacing...

@barthbradley How are you able to get this look with the Elevation Family?

Here is the best I could do with the underline character... I set text object to Fixed Rotation, Center Horizontal Align and Middle Vertical Align. Yet on non-orthagonal walls it still shows wacky, meanwhile inside family everything looks like it should work... See pasted screenshots

I wasn't trying to guess what a suffix or prefix does ... I was suggesting that you do it using suffix or prefix

The text will wrap when you resize the text box and add a space at the end of the Prefix

Apologies @RDAOU , My brain was misfiring and I was adding suffix to the top number not realizing that a prefix to the bottom number will create the desired result... I got the elevation family pretty close to looking as it should be except on non orthagonal walls the top number goes off center slightly. [compare 2/A-30 and 2/A-50 & I also attached the family to this post...] I notice your family does that too, this isn't the end of the world and I can live with it but it's also not as sexy as @ToanDN's or @barthbradley's family with that perfect center alignment 😲

@ToanDN Sorry to be a pain, any chance you have this family in Revit 2021? Fun Fact: Revit 2022 doesn't run on windows 7 which is what I am using currently (In about a month I will rocking windows 10 finally :D)
