Elevation Footings

Should I not be able to edit footings in elevation to create, say, a connected step footing? Can't seem to find this option. Is it only in 2020?

Aren't you talking about a Profile? Make one.

I go in elevation, I click on the footing, no edit profile option appears that would allow me to create said profile.

You know, there's a half dozen ways you could do this without the Wall Foundation tool.  But, if you are dead-set on using the Wall Foundation tool, use could easily "step" the rectangular  footing using an In-Place Void.

The void wouldn't really work for the entire wall: the top of the footing shifts up and down. It would be painful.

What would you recommend as best practice?  Thought I would be able to edit the foundations in elevation. As it stands, what I have done is model the missing pieces in place.

I would just use the floor tool.

I see, I think next time I make a foundationI will use the wall tool. That way I can align everything easily, join everything and edit in elevation like I was looking to do.
