elevation annotation marks disappear on plan view

Hi everybody,

Here is the problem:

I tried to crop the plan view in order to hide the unnecessary content when I drag it to sheet. However, 3 (of 4) elevation marks disappeared and the rest 1 still showing beyond the crop region.   

I checked the plan view properties, and tried to check and un-check the parameter "annotation crop", it did affect the North Elevation (the only one showing outside the crop region) annotation mark's visibility.

Then question is:

Why is only the North elevation controlled by the plan view's parameter "annotation crop" but not all 4 of them?

...almost looks like Scope Boxes, but you are not describing it as such.  Are we talking Scope Boxes?
