Elements showing outside plan view range.

Some elements from a linked file are showing outside the view range on plan;  Structural Framing from the level below (Clouded on the image below). I have changed the view range settings to multiple heights from the levels available, but still show the elements below.

I don't have any underlays in the properties.  I have "Clip with line" in the Depth Clipping.  The "Revit link display settings" and "Basics" tab, is set to "Custom" with the view range as <by host view>.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

I suspect something else in acting on the View.  Does it happen in  a brand new View - with no Templates; no Filters; no nothing?

Check if there are any annotation lines in the framing family, that could be cut by the view. See the image as an example.

If the Linked structural model is not responding to view rang change in the host model, check the RVT Link Display settings. It might be that it is set to display as per Link or Custom

Custom implies that the view range of the link is most probably not the same as the host....

- Either open the link and adjust the View range therein and reload

- OR keep RVT Link settings custom and select a view where the view rang is suitable and those elements do not show

- OR set the RVT Link Settings to Host then the View rang of the link will function as per that of the Host

It looks like the family was the issue.

I deleted the detail Item and replaced it with two symbolic lines to represent the cut.  This worked within the linked file when I created a new view plan for the second floor.  The elements showed in the floor plan for level 2, but when I deleted the Detail Item and reloaded the family the elements were gone.  Now I need to test it in my main model.

I also deleted the model lines and linear dimensions shown in the 3D view, as I think they are not necessary.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for clarifying that! Good to know!

The problem I had seemed to come from the family being used, as commented by @maciejwypych.

I tried his approach within the linked file and it worked, now I need to update all the units to see if it works in the main project file.
