Elements in group move when adding Origin Level Offset

Hi everybody,

I am currently working with groups and I need to move them using the Origin Level Offset, but when I do, many of the element inside the group just move randomly up or down. Attached you can find a simple Revit file that shows what I am using and some images to explain the error I am getting.

The file is in a base state and to see the error you must change the Origin Level Offset of any group to any number.

If by any chance someone knows a workaround to this issue or can help me figure out what am I doing wrong that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

@josepht21

Basically, you are not doing anything wrong...For some reason some system elements tend to disconnect and go haywire. To fix that,

  • Option 1:
    1. Instead of Origin Level Offset >> Go to section or Elevation >> Select Group >> Use Move tool and move the group down or up
  • Option 2:
    1. Edit group
    2. Select all elements in the group
    3. Cut to Clipboard
    4. Paste Aligned same place
    5. Finish group

Changing Origin Level Offset should now work (Watch GIF Below)
