I have a section where the countertop looks from 3/4? (attached doc) and when i apply a section everythings looks parallel (as normal, except for the countertop, where i can see the depth of the element. Also I'm not cutting the L shaped countertop and it appears in the section...
Create your counters as separate countertop families (yours are in-place furniture category and all the counters in the kitchen in the same in-place family). I'd use the casework category because that provides cut and projection linework but furniture only provides projection (unless you use Enable cutting in views" in the family properties).
