Edit the void extrusion in 3D

Hello all,

YHow is possible to control the top and bottom for an extrusion void in 3D? Until yesterday I ewas able to see the void form in the 3D and to adapt its height.

Today the void  is not visible in 3d..

Any tip?

Thank you

Hi @mairh_tsek

First which category did you use to create the Void?  If you used Mass, can you check that the Mass is set to visible on the Massing and Site Tab

Set mass to visible as the post above, also check your visibility settings under VV/VG for Mass, turn on the Revel hidden element button (light bulb thingy) at bottom of the window.

Or wherever you used your void to cut select that edge and tab through it to find the void.

Thank you for your answers.

I created the void as a Model-in Place...finally I noticed that in the 3D with the section box I was cutting in a different level..

I'm not sure how you would "see" a Model In-Place Void in the Project, since the Void would need to cut something (and therefore become invisible) before closing out of In-Place Component.

I wanted to see it before ending the option in order to ajust the height easier.

After the ending of this option there in not any way to see the cutting part?

Thank you.

Add labeled dimensions to the void to control its sizing.   No different from what you'd do if it were a loadable family.  You can add parameters to an in-place just the same as you do in a loadable family.

You can tab where the void cut the element to select the void.  You probably won't see the entire orange void form as you expected but nevertheless it can still be selected and edited.

Thank you for your answers., the problem was that in 3D view I didn't had the correct level.

' Add labeled dimensions to the void to control its sizing. '

Just to know..Is it possible to add labeled dimensions in a project or only in a family?

Thank you!
