I have a curved faceted facade on which I'd like to add centered mullions. the facade was created as a mass and then turned into a "curtain system." when I add a mullion it either shifts to the left or the right of the grid line. see image below:
I've changed the dimensions of width to side 1 and 2 to be equal and that does not work. I've also tried locking the profile families center to the center line. I've also create a new mullion type but the problem seems to be that the mullion is picking the right side or left side of a panel thus it does not center.
is there a way to create an edge mullion that offsets outboard of the panel end? that might resolve my issue.
Are you sure? Orient the View to the Face of the Mullion. Betcha the Grid is centered.
IF the glass panels are system panels then you can Edit in place them, stretch the edges to create the butt joints. However, it maybe easier to exclude the edge mullions from the system and create those mullions in place instead.
Instead of using Curtain Wall Systems for the Mullions, another approach you might try doing the curved Glazing via Wall by Mass Face, then splitting the Wall to make "Grid Lines", and then doing the Mullions with Beams via 3D Snapping/Pick Line Method.
FWIW.
