I was wondering if anyone else has this issue with linked DWGs. I have linked DWGs by shared coordinates, they appear correct in Revit, as in the 0,0,0 point in the dwg appears in my project base point in revit. BUT after synching, the DWG either rotates after true north, or moves to a different location faaaar away from my project base point. I have tried to stop sharing coordinates after the linking, i have pinned the DWGs, but still they do not stay in place. Does anyone know why?
Sound like the kind of erratic behavior you get when the DWG is place far, far away from the Internal Origin of the Project. Revit has a sweet spot.
Thank you for the reply, yes in the shared coordinates, the model is far away from 0,0,0, but we cannot change the location. What i need to do is keep the dwgs pinned and prevent them from moving around everytime someone synchs the model, how can i prevent that?
my only workaround until now has been to recreate those DWGs in local coordinates, and link origin to origin in revit, and dissable the shared location
