Hello,
We have clients who share 3D building models with us without necessarily adhering to our modeling methods. As a result, we receive models that are unusable because they do not comply with our modeling/construction methods.
Therefore, we are compelled to manually redraw them using them as a blueprint.
Are there any solutions available to import any type of model and generate a 3D model that conforms to our constraints?
And this without having to make extensive modifications to the imported model.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,

Hi, I think you may be looking for the "holy grail" or "the fountain of youth" ![]()
Software to convert a "rogue" model into your requirements could exist but you'd probably have to make it. You don't mention whether you are hoping to work with or alter these models or just view them. Have you looked at Navisworks for the latter? Or using Coordination models with Revit?
