Is there any method to duplicate families ( Doors, windows etc) in project, so that both Family and type names will be same.

No, you can't, you can only duplicate with different name.
You can duplicate instances. That is, you can place multiple instances of the same Type in the Project. There is no good reason to have duplicate Types named identically. If you want to assign each Instance of the same Type a unique identifier to distinguish them from one another in the Project, then put that information in the Family's Instance Parameters (e.g. Comments, Mark). Instance parameters can be different for each door placed in the Project.
Thank you for the reply. Other priorities noted, But i want to make sure both Both Family and Type name should maintain the same name. As of now we were saving that file with separate name and loading in the project, which consumes more time. If we find a way to duplicating file and making that to 2 separate families (ie Family name - Door_1, Type name - Door_1, after duplicating Family name - Door_2, Type name - Door_2)
From what you are saying, it sounds like you want two separate families with the same name and type name. To what end? This cannot be done and I'm sure there is another way to accomplish what you need.
If what you really want is to have multiple instances of the family, then you should either place additional instances of or copy an existing one.
Are your two families different, or are they similar? If they are different then Revit needs a method to distinguish between the two (and so do you). If they are the same then you only need one type.
