Hi New to the group guys, but have a fundamental error in a project I have recently joined in working on...duplicated type mark/mark.
We have allocated type marks to all the columns in the project but I'm being told C3 is duplicated but I cannot find column C3 in the schedule.
I've exported the column schedule to itemise all instances in the project I was expecting to see a column with blank type mark suggesting it was duplicated but still nothing.
Q. What is the best way to find the rouge C3 columns and allow a column type mark C3 to be populated in the schedule? If anyone has a step by step process that would be great.
I've exported the text file of the column schedule showing all instances of type marks and marks in the project.
We haven't purged the project as of yet.
Thanks in advance
Karl

Hi
Thanks for the reply, I've change all the phase options and phase filters and still can not see blank types, it also looks like there is an issue with type mark C8 as well.
Then the column types present in your Project Family Browser but there are no instances placed physically. Just ignore the warning and name the designated column types as C3 and C8 unless you want insert every column some where to spot the other C3 and C8.
Sorted , C3 and C8 now appear and the table reads correct, many thanks.
I'm just curious why Revit would suggest it has been used when it hasn't, any ideas ??
I'm new to the project and multiple technicians have worked on it.
Thanks again.
The Type Mark has been used for some other column TYPE. You didn't find it in the schedule because no columns of that Type had been placed in your model. You can have a completely blank model with all the different Types in the Family Browser, like a Template.
