Hello, I am a company employee studying revit in Korea. In the year 2017 when we were building the family, we didn't have any shared parameters, so we created shared parameters.
When I loaded the 2017 and 2018 families, the parameters were duplicated. I figured out that the category check was different, and I checked the category for 2017.
Only the handrails and lamps are duplicated in two at a time. What's the solution?

Happens when you create Shared Parameters of the same name from different Shared Parameter Text Files -- or when you add a Shared Parameter that named the same as an in-built parameter. To resolve, you need to change the Shared Parameter in the Family. Either create a new, differently named Shared Parameter or pull the Shared Parameter you want from another Shared Parameter Text File. Or, leave it be and deal with it. Sometimes that's the easiest solution, especially if you have a lot of families with the same Shared Parameter.
...there are add-ins that can help resolve more efficiently. Rushforth Tools is one.
Thank you, sir. The worker who was working on this lost the common selling variable, so I think we need to go on a temporary basis. Do you have the ability to extract shared parameters that already exist?
You mean export parameters from one family into another Shared Parameter Text File. If so: Yes you can! There's an Export button under Shared Parameter (next to Select button) in Parameter Properties.
