Duplicate Parameter Names in the same Parameter Group

Hello

I've been wondering why Revit allows the Parameters names to be duplicated within the same Parameter Group even with different case or even with the same character case????

As a good practice, can you please stop doing this as this creates a lot of data inconstancy?

Could you batch this a fix for all Revit edition?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They're not DUPLICATES per se.  Shared Parameters are not identified by their name. They are identified by their GUID.  You could easily have same named Shared Parameters via different Shared Parameter Text Files.

Sure users should exercise the good practice of using shared parameters from a single source.  Using shared parameters from multiple sources risks having the same parameter name but different GUIDs in projects or families, exactly what you show.

And there is nothing to fix for any Revit version.  While there are many issues and shortcoming in Revit, being responsible for users' unorganized habit is not one of them.

@barthbradley , @ToanDN These are not shared parameters, these are built-in parameters of the Material Assets.

Even though these are not Shared Parameters, Revit should not allow adding same name of parameter (even with different case) to the same parameter group.
