Duct Fitting

Hello,

Could anyone help me with ductwork in Revit? My goal is to show the ductwork as a single piece. For example, the duct fittings shown in red, could I combine it in view to just show the ductwork as a smooth piece?

You mean you don't want to show the joints? Basically make it look like it a long tube with straight and curved parts but not actual sections? Why? Revit models it like it will be built, and those will be sections with joints in real life.

It is possible what you want can't be done easily since that is contrary to real World.

You could play with all kind of graphics overrides or Display options. I'm too lazy to open up an HVAC project.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, because even if you:

-modify every fitting family to NOT display 3D geometry in medium/fine view

-modify every fitting family to use detail linework so that only the 'sides' of the fitting are lined and the connector sides are not lined

The basic duct element is still going to show all edges in plan view.

We have a few duct accessories inhouse built as mentioned above (dampers with symbolic representations), and you still see the lines generated by the straight duct connector sides.
