Dry wall construction

Hi,

I'm working on a proyect where the walls are somehow like a platform frame construction. I'm wondering if there is a way to create a curtain wall that generates all the layers of this wall.

I have been able to create a curtain wall whith a core based on vertical wood mullions of 140x60mm every 900mm and filled with insulation between the mullions. The problem comes when I want to create the next layers: a layer of horizontal furing strips with a layer of vertical furing strips as a finishing.

As far i have been creating curtain walls and simple walls for eacth layer but I'm not sure if that's the propper way to do it. I have also tried to create a wall that has all those layers but I need the number of mullions for the quantifications and it quantifies whole layer.

It is hard to explain with my poor english but I hope you can understand it with the picture attached.

Can it be modeled in full detail? Yes, but  just if is for illustration purposes, such a 3d detail. But if the purpose is, as you say, for estimation,  quantification, i would do this:

Create a wall type with all the layers of materials. Then, model a wall that is 10  x 10 units, and create a take-off schedule of walls. This will give you all the quantities of materials needed for a wall that is 100 square units in area. Then, create several calculated values with the estimated number of linear elements per square unit. The size of the wall, being 10 x 10, will make you test quickly if the estimated linear quantities are correct.

Thank you very much. I'll try it now.
