I am in the process of creating a Project Information Sheet, for storing all relevant project information, in one default view location. Known as the “Pin Sheet”, the goal is to enter information from one or more linked points (ie, Project Information tab, Titleblock, etc.), and generate model/ project info throughout—in those mentioned locations and beyond.
We have based the mechanics of the Pin on a titleblock family, and have focused on the Project Information Bar as secondary entry point (below).
We did not want to reinvent the wheel. What I need help with, is adding certain, large volume parameters to the project model, without creating a lengthy project interface. For example, when it comes to adding a section of applicable project scope to the Pin, we sectioned a portion of the sheet off, and called it “Scope of Work” (see attachment). As opposed to having 10 or more lines of information on one lengthy menu, we would like to create a drop-down menu, similar to the “Energy Analysis” bar, which leads to a sub menu (below).
I have toyed with all kinds of family parameters, but I am going in circles. Please let me know how I can do anything close to this. I have figured out all other linked label type relationships, but this function---pull down tab within the project information bar—escapes me. Is your service equipped to provide this help?
Please help
I believe what you looking at is more or less hard coded in Revit. As you found you can add parameters to project information, but that is about it.
The only thing you can do is make section by the use of the categories. But also the categories are hardcoded, so of limited use
Maybe that something can be done trhough the API?
Just some possibilities to explore:
Alsoconsider to put things as 'fixed' values on youtr titleblock. How much of the inforamtion will change on a regular basis?
If information is more or less fixed or occasionally changes put it onthe titleblock. When need to change just edit the titleblock.
Other option might be to create on or more generic annotations. You can make them with Type or Family parameters (not shared) and put them on a sheet.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
