Hi All,
I'm fairly new to REVIT and i'm trying to see if a certain command exists in REVIT.
Lets say I have a specific interior wall that I need to draw and that wall is already in the model and has been used is several location around the floor plan. I could just click the wall command and then scroll thru dozens of wall types until I find it and then draw the new wall. Or, is there a command that i can use which lets me click on another wall on the floor plan and it then sets that wall as the current selection when I go to make a new wall? I know you can match properties AFTER you draw the wall but it would be much better if I can quickly set it to the correct wall type before drawing it.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Rob
If you want to copy same wall pick the wall right click your mouse and select create similar. thanks
...or type CS (default shortcut) to Create Similar
also useful: MA to match types already in the project.
By default, Revit shows the type that was used last, so you only have to find a wall type once. A problem with your suggestion is that clicking on a wall to make it the default new wall will keep changing the new wall type if you click on a wall for any reason. The you have to find the appropriate wall again somewhere to change the type.
