Drawing Issue Sheet Revit

I am trying to set up a drawing issue sheet on Revit for our projects. Previously we issued drawings on an excel spreadsheet.

One thing I am trying to do is add a parameter of the drawing status which we manually added to our drawing templates and link it to the drawing issue sheet. Can anyone help?

Also does anyone have an example of an Architectural drawing issue sheet that is used in the UK? Other Architectural practices I have spoken to still use excel spreadsheets even although Revit has the software to do this.

Hello Scott

Hear is my attempt. The issue letters are added whilst in the corresponding sheets in the identity data section. I also have to manually tell it the sheet size and scale (as this is preferred to the standard as indicated.) this is done whilst in the individual sheet properties as this is done manually anyway in all other instances like in excel or CAD.

I can add linked sheets the same way by checking the tick box under fields in the sheet schedule. for me this works well. it took a couple of days with trial and error. I suppose if I were a bit more clever I could have the letter appear in the correct revision as soon as I add the revision to the sheet. I suppose that the only downside would be the loss of control to issue date in case that you might not want to issue that sheet yet.

You might take a look at the method outlined in this post; it's not exactly the same as your spreadsheet, but it would get you pretty close.

Good luck!
