Drafting and Model patterns in new familes

I have a bunch of drafting and model patterns that appear to be saved in my project template.  However, when I create a new family, it resorts to the 7 or so standard drafting and model patterns.

I understand how to create custom patterns.  My question is how do I transfer ALL of the patterns into a new family?  Can I set up that all new files (whether families or projects) can start with my extended pattern library?

Thanks,

dgt

Yes. Open a brand New Family from particular Category Template (rft), use Transfer Project Standards to transfer into it all the Fill Patterns you want it to have, Save this New Family (that has nothing added to it other than the Fill Patterns). Close the Family and locate it in your Windows Browser and rename it to change the extension from .rfa to .rft.  Now it's a Family Template. Open a brand new Family using this .rft.
