Double Tee Wall

Hello:

I am new to revit and trying to create a double tee wall, but I can't seem to get it right. I am new and dont know how to make a family or anything like that. If someone could give me a step by step process or possibly give me a tutorial on how to do it, I would highly appreciate it. Or if possible, if you could upload the file here I would be grateful as well.

- Start a new family and choose Profile-Mullion family template
- Draw the profile of a double T
- Save and name it Double T Mullion Profile, load it in your project
- Edit any Rectangular Mullion type from Families > Curtain Wall Mullions, and duplicate to create a new type, name it Double T Mullion, and assign the Profile to use the Double T Mullion Profile
- Edit a curtain wall type, duplicate to create a new type, name it Double T Curtain Wall
- Set Curtain Panel to None
- Set Horizontal Grid layout and Horizontal Mullions to None
- Set Vertical Grid layout to Fixed distance and give it the same value as the width of a Double T unit
- Set All Vertical Mullions to Double T Mullion
- Draw a Wall and choose the Double T Curtain Wall from the type list

Could just draw a Basic Wall and attach and Join the Tees as a Wall Sweeps.  Alternatively, you could draw the Basic Wall panel length, apply the two Wall Sweeps representing the Double Tees, Join Geometry to remove the visible between Tees and Wall, and then Group the Wall and Sweeps.  Then place instances of the Group.

There's a few tutorials on-line about Wall Sweeps. You ought to check 'em out.

- VG and make sure Walls and Curtain Mullions categories are checked

- Set the view Phase Filter to Show All

See attached 2018 RVT file.  Again, file shows both approaches I spoke about in post #3.

Note: web profile family is fully parametric.   New family types of different dimensions can be easily added at Project level.
