Double Sloped Roof

Hi folks,

I was trying to create a double-sloped roof (one is 5"/12", one is 9"/12"). I was following the tutorial here, but when I clicked Dormer, Revit deleted the part I wanted to keep. I have attached the file here, appreciate any help!

I have fixed the problem differently. Create a reference plane that shows the section of the roof, then draw the profile of the roof, then use Roof By Extrusion. 

or use the method provided by patdav44 by creating a flat roof and then modifying it. 

But I still hope someone could figure out why Dormer doesn't work here.
