Dormer Roof Cut Troubleshoot

Hello,

I am trying to create a dormer with a mansard style roof in Revit. Everything is fine except I cannot cut the roof under the dormer. I have tried to select the lines of the walls and the roof top but the line doesn't seem to close up and the cut cannot be generated. I get a troubleshoot saying the line is not closed and the dormer cut cannot be generated. I wonder if this may be because there are two roofs: one hipped with a cut and the other flat on top.

I have inserted a screenshot of the problem. 

Any ideas how to make this work?

Could be a number of procedural errors or the Model itself. Post the RVT and let us test.  

...Yes, I can see it's difficult at a Mansard. Post you file.

Dormer works well in this case...I don't see where is the problem...

I did manage to cut the dormer in the end. For some reason it did not work the first few times I have tried but eventually it did work.  Thank you for the video once again.  I really appreciate the time.
