I have a loft level that doesn't cut into the doors. Yet, I still see the doors open. They should appear closed in this particular level and open in the level below. Any ideas?
Edit door family, go to a plan view, select the plan linework/geometry of the door, click V/G Override, and tick the box When Cut in Plan/RCP.
The door panel is a family. It has the "cut in plan" activated. But it doesn't carry on to the family in the model.
I've attached a couple of images to illustrate.
Plan Region...or Model Line Trick. Go to Elevation View in Family the Draw a Model Line from top of door upwards a few feet. Make it invisible. Load Family into Project.
NOTE: you want the Model Line in the Family long enough to intersect with the View Cut Plane in the Project.
It didn't work.
I've attached the family in here
Are you aware of all the errors your family has? There's a bunch of them.
...Try to change the Swing Angle and this one pops up:
I thought the OP was wanting it visible above the cut plane.
@Anonymous : I'm confused. You mean you want the Door Detail to show the Door in Closed Position when cut above. There is only one Detail Representation for the Door Opening in the Family. If you aren't cutting the Door there should be no Detail.
I'm showing the level below because I want to show the lower-level furniture. If you set the the bottom range and the view depth to show the lower level, you'll probably see the door error.
Not the detail. I want the door to appear closed if I'm not cutting through it.
I don't think it's a View Range issue.

Not a View Range issue? Try something for me. Use a Plan Region and tell me if it solves the issue.
What do you think of this?
I also attached the section for you
I'm pretty sure it's the family!
There's another door family and does fine under the same View Range conditions (see attached)
I might just add a new visibility parameter
I don't know, @Anonymous. Maybe you're right. If it were me, I would resolve the other issues with the Family first to see if they are are interrelated with this issue.

The bottom range and view depth are the same for both of my screenshots. Look again.
The reason the door shows because the view range cut plane cuts through the vertical model line above the door. Get rid of that line and you are good.
