Revit 2015
I've got a non-OOTB door family, but I believe I would have the same problem with a standard door.
I have created a face-based generic model to represent an ADA sign. It has some text (men / women / exit / room #) some braile, and possibly some figure (int'l sym. for accessibility). These signs go on the strike side of the door at 60" AFF. So I put them there in the family with some options to swap different sign types.
It all works peachy in the family editor (and when loaded in a project) until I flip the door. The door flips correctly, and the sign flips to the side I want it on, but the sign text/graphics is mirrored. So the flip is really sort of "mirroring" the door family in the wall, which is good for the door, but not for this sign. What I really need to happen is for the sign to change locations.
Yes, this could all be handled with visibility parameters, but...I could also just draw the signs in manually in the elevations, but... Surely there is a better way?
